Wisdom Martin is co-anchor on the WUSA 9 morning show "Get Up DC" 4am-7am weekday mornings. He previously anchored at FOX 5 DC morning news and hosted "Good Day DC" for 20 years. He has covered it all in the DMV. He was first reporter on scene for the stations Emmy award winning live coverage of the serial bank robbery. He reported live from Miami on the murder of NFL player and rising Washington football star Sean Taylor and from New Orleans, covered the devastation of Hurricane Katrina live in New Orleans, as well as several presidential inaugurations. Wisdom also hosted a podcast “The Unconventional Wisdom."
Wisdom is the author of "Pass Interference: The History of the Black Quarterback in the NFL." He has also written two more books "Conventional Wisdom" Volumes 1 and 2.
Wisdom is a proud graduate of Jackson State University and has covered both sports and news in Jackson Mississippi (WAPT), California (KSEE) North Carolina, (WRAL), Nashville (WKRN), and CNN in Atlanta Georgia.
Wisdom enjoys speaking at schools and community events; loves to attempt to cook and is a former youth basketball coach. When he is not working, he loves to workout and spend time with his wife and 3 kids.
